Passion is key

How to know you got your passion to lead an incredible life?

One of the most common roadblocks to living a life focused on your passions is determining what you’re enthusiastic about in the first place.

What is my true calling?

What I love to do when I lose track of time, forget about the environment, and lose track of space as if time has stopped.

Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation?

Passion is defined as a powerful emotion, especially one of love, hate, or anger, according to the oxford dictionary.

Once you grasp the true definition of the word PASSION, you are well on your way to discovering your true calling.

importance of passion

Just think about it.

You’re living a life dedicated to something you care about.

Finding your passion may not be as simple as it appears, but it is definitely worth the effort.

But how many of us make a living doing what we love?

The majority of us live our lives as they unfold on our life’s journey.

Consider my situation.

When I was a youngster, I was too eager to pursue a career as an investigative journalist and travel the globe.

I was too enthralled by the prospect of living an adventurous life on a world tour.

At the same time, I enjoyed scientific classes.

I received the top grades in Economics in the tenth grade board exam, yet somehow I was accepted into engineering and became an engineer.

Where has my passion vanished?

Or is it even my passion to live a life centred on my passions?

Is it true that I’m living my life with zeal?

If that’s the case, am I content?

Is it true that I am currently interested in my work?

If we ask all of these questions, we will undoubtedly discover whether we are living a life of passion.

Your purpose’s nerve centre is passion.

It’s what makes you come alive, fascinated, enthralled, uplifted, and inspired to work or pursue a goal, even if no one else understands it but you.

By the way, you must understand why you should pursue your passion in order to live an extraordinary life.

Let’s embark on a fascinating voyage of passion to get you hooked on living the life you want.

1. You won’t feel compelled to work.

You will be trapped in an eternal circle of sorrow if you place a higher priority on money than on pursuing your passion.

Work will no longer feel like an adventure or a voyage, but rather a burdensome irritation on your mind and body that must be completed.

Of course, this will result in worry and anxiety.

Every day that you go to work with this attitude, you grow to despise your job.

While many people believe they must work hard in order to retire and have enough money to enjoy themselves, what good is it to enjoy yourself later in life if you  spent some of your greatest years miserable?

2. You’ll Encourage Creativity

One of the most taxing situations is being forced to work.

While every career has periods when you feel the work is tiring and monotonous, if you are passionate about what you do, you can push through the monotony  because you know the next day will bring something new and exciting.

3. You’ll be more satisfied with your work.

Nothing is more depressing than having to get up every morning during the week to do work you don’t care about or that you don’t believe adds value to the world.

If you choose to follow your passion, though, you can start to appreciate what you do.

The monetary reward may be less, but the internal rewards are greater.

4.You’ll Most Likely Work Fewer Hours

Because those duties don’t feel as burdensome when you work at a job you enjoy, you’ll be able to focus more and complete them on time.

When you’re only working for money, motivation is harder to come by, which means you’ll have to work longer hours to get things done.

5.You’ll be able to unwind a little more.

You’ll find it tough to overcome the stress that work causes when you put in so many hours doing something you don’t like only to get money.

When you follow your passion and do something you enjoy, though, the weekend will feel like a time to relax and regroup before returning to work.

6. Nothing will be able to stop you.

Nothing will be able to keep you from completing your tasks if you pursue your passion and appreciate what you do.

You feel unstoppable because you are enthusiastic about what you do, and nothing can stop you from attaining greatness.

Your passion fuels your job and, like a rocket, propels you over any potential hurdles.

Any challenge you face is welcomed and overcome with a creative answer.

7. You’ll Go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty

You may be required to go above and beyond the call of duty at work due to certain commitments.

During peak seasons, you may be requested to complete duties that are not normally part of your daily routine.

If you care about something, it will be a lot easier for you to put in the extra effort.

Because you are enthusiastic about your career, you will be willing to go above and beyond what is expected of you, making you feel good and attracting the proper type of attention from your boss

8. You’ll Feel More Satisfied

Few feelings are more satisfying than achieving a level of achievement that you set for yourself while pursuing your interest.

When you finally reach the top, it’s even more satisfying to know you did so by doing something you enjoy and that you believe provides worth to the world.

Once you have a clear understanding of why you should pursue your passion, you will investigate whether you have it.

To find it, Wayne Burgan’s acronym for Passion is the greatest place to start.

Wayne Burgan, the founder of Cashflow Manager, is a CPA, business leader, and serial entrepreneur who began his first business as a guitar school before enrolling in university to study accounting at the age of seventeen.

Wayne Burgan

Wayne talks about PASSION in his two books, Secrets to Unlocking the Profit Potential in Your Business and Starting a Business – How to Avoid Losing Your Shirt.

Wayne’s deconstruction of the word “passion” can help you discover your own.

You may not agree with every phrase Wayne has used, but it will undoubtedly clarify your understanding of what it takes to live an extraordinary life.

The letter P stands for “Purpose.”

Your entire reason for being on this life’s path might be considered your mission.

Are you on a quest for fame, money, or to serve others?

Whatever it is, your purpose is what motivates you to get out of bed each morning, even when all of your efforts appear to be in vain at the moment.

“Attitude” is represented by the letter A.

Because your ability to navigate through the environment is influenced by your attitude, it’s crucial to pay attention to it.

A positive attitude can help you manage stress, deal with obstacles in a healthy and productive manner, set and achieve objectives, and maintain overall mental and physical health.

Positive thinking equals positive outcomes.

The letter S stands for “Service.”

To provide services means to own, manage, control, or participate in the ownership, management, or control of, or to be employed or engaged by, or to participate in the ownership, management, or control of, or to be employed or engaged by, or to participate in the ownership, management, or control of, or to be employed or  engaged by, or to participate in

serve on the board of directors of, consult with, contribute to, have a security interest in, supply services to, provide advice to

“Sow” is represented by the letter S.

The deliverables and project goals are outlined in a Statement of Work, often known as a SOW.

It’s designed to keep everyone on the same page when it comes to project deadlines, scope of work, and expectations.

“Incentive” is what I stand for.

Incentives are prizes and bonuses given to employees to encourage positive conduct.

Tuition reimbursement, greater time off, and more flexibility in work arrangements are just a few examples.

“Ownership” is represented by the letter O.

Most of the time, it is you — the owner – who determines whether your firm succeeds or fails.

Mistakes are bound to occur.

That is something we all agree on.

What occurs next, though, is determined by how you and your company respond to problems.

Own up to all mistakes, make a plan to fix them, be open about how your company will respond the next time, and then move on.

Customers and employees have high regard for business owners who accept responsibility for their activities.

“Never Give Up” is represented by the letter N.

Never give up; it’s more difficult than you think.

Furthermore, there are occasions when it makes sense to take an alternative course, which may lead to the closure of the company.

All constructive action, however, has benefits, and failure is a component of success.

Bottom Line:

This generation is in special jeopardy because employment is scarce, and many of us will be forced to work occupations we despise simply to make ends meet.

While this may be the best decision for our professions right now, it is not something we should do for the rest of our lives.

It is preferable that you look for something that would allow you to pursue your interest.

Your enthusiasm for what you do will provide you with the motivation, determination, and energy to achieve any level of success and fulfilment you desire, and you’ll have a great time doing it.

When I reflect on my nearly 27-ear career in the construction sector, I realise that I am unhappy in my work because I am on a path that does not allow me to pursue my passion.

Maybe I’m stuck in a job I don’t like because the pay is decent.

As a result, I used the P-spot above to see where I am now.

I’ve recently discovered my affinity for coaching.

Purpose is to make it your mission to assist others.

Attitude is when you’re surrounded by so many people, it’s easy to fall into autopilot mode of enjoyment.

Incentive is what appreciation I get.

Ownership gives me a sense of independence.

Never-say-die attitude has helped me stay in this line.
